Christina G., now 36, had no experience with art making as a child. As an adult her creative work involved special hair-styles for her two daughters. She also has three sons between eighteen and twenty-six. An act of violence led to a brain injury, and a craniotomy. Her left side is impaired as well as a vision impairment in one eye. After coming to Northeast Center for Special Care for rehabilitation, Christina discovered the arts through which she can work from her heart, and expressing her feelings. Christina’s art is a private vehicle for knowing herself and staying well as evidenced in this spiritual text/painting. She is grateful for her life, and is in love again.
