By age 20 Wendy T. was an accomplished artist, drawing and painting portraits, animals and landscapes. Art was important in her life for many reasons including relief from depression, praise from others and self worth. Now 36, she is struggling to accept the physical disabilities as a result of a brain stem stroke. From her struggle are the seeds for the most magnificent, soulful and still accomplished art. Wendy’s journey, to accept her present, epitomizes the reshaping of identity and purpose for those touched by traumatic brain injury.
