The life of James E. changed suddenly when he suffered a car accident. The resultant brain injury affected his memory and thinking abilities. Formerly a security patrol guard, dealing with heavy equipment, James made little art. Now he feels that art is important because he can write and draw things he doesn’t know how to express otherwise. James loves nature. Among the things he seeks to depict are a grove of trees, the woods and a stream he remembers from childhood, as seen in this painting. He’s been playing the harmonica since he was a young boy and enjoys music as well as art.
