Mary, a woman now in her mid fifties, grew up enjoying art including drawing, painting on glass and cartooning. She always enjoyed interior design, decorating her rooms and living spaces, on a regular basis. As an adult she became a bus driver, enjoying the contact with children and families. Mary came to Northeast Center as a result of a motor vehicle accident which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Mary has discovered the Fine Arts Program which offers a supportive
environment for her to reconnect with and expand her creative interests.
From the start her work exhibited a mystical character that embodies a
sketchy, graphic approach with hidden textual meaning.
