George was formerly an attorney and is a highly cultured man who loved to go to the opera, theater and museums before having a cerebral hemorrhage. He loved to cook and gather his family and friends together. He traveled widely, piloted his own plane, enjoyed hiking, fishing, bird watching and camping. Since coming to Northeast Center George became involved in the Fine
Arts Program. He has primarily focused on drawing with pencils and
eraser in the tradition of the Old Masters. Mornings and afternoons he
works meticulously on images depicting buildings, the landscape and
people and has begun painting with acrylics on canvass with a richly
layered approach.
