Eric is a man full of ideas, enjoying creative work through the present. As a self-taught artist he drew pictures and made paperback books with invented stories and illustrations. He came to Northeast Center in 2002 following a car accident and brain hemorrhage. Eric began participating in the Fine Arts Program as part of his
treatment plan. Observing people working in the Art Studio
"brightened his ideas". He was inspired by Resident-Neighbors who
worked from their wheelchairs, reminding himself that "I should
have more hope then I sometimes have". Making art is a process he
takes very seriously as this work “Illustrated
Mountains,” illustrates.
